SAVING JEWISH LIVES AND TRADITIONS

The East European Jewish Heritage Project

More About Our Genealogical Service

The East European Jewish Heritage Project, a registered US 501(3)c charity with offices in Minsk, provides a comprehensive genealogical research and travel service for those seeking their roots in Belarus. All proceeds go to support the EEJHP's humanitarian work in East Europe.

The charge is $95.00 for a preliminary report on one family name. The initial search will check through relevant archives and record offices for documents relating to your family and report on what is found.  You will  receive a report on what is found detailing the pertinent documents. Unlike other research services our preliminary report actually gives you the information found in the records discovered, not just a report that such records exist. Further research is quoted based on the material disclosed during the preliminary investigation.

Searches take from two to three months. We can also supply photographs of towns and monuments and survey cemeteries when requested.

A preliminary search will give a good overview of what is available. We can also visit your native settlement and, when applicable seek out local knowledge of your family and photograph their house, if still standing, and the cemetery.

Remember, all proceeds from our Jewish Genealogical Research Service support the work of the East European Jewish Heritage Project which carries out extensive humanitarian aid projects on behalf  of the Jewish community. This means that your personal interests are translated into benefits for the Jewish Community of Belarus.
